House of Bourbon
Looking for the perfect spot for drinks, dancing and great music? Look no further than House of Bourbon, a craft bourbon bar in the heart of St. Andrew’s. Hidden inside the historic Shrimp Boat Restaurant, House of Bourbon has become a local favorite for live music, comedy performances, line dancing, open jam sessions and bourbon.
House of Bourbon was originally opened by Loren Smith as Lowe’s House of Bourbon, a tribute to Loren’s father and the original owner of The Shrimp Boat Restaurant, Lowe Smith. The bar was a nod to Lowe’s original VIP Gentleman’s Club, where locals would smoke, drink whiskey and be entertained by burlesque dancers. House of Bourbon’s built-in stage for live entertainment, custom hand-cut wood floors, and a handmade whiskey bottle chandelier (made by Loren Smith himself) brought a wholly unique atmosphere to St. Andrews. In 2017, By The Sea Resorts bought Lowe’s and shortened the name to House of Bourbon. Patrons will still find the original custom wood floors and whiskey bottle chandelier inside of HOB.
